There are times when food really surprises you. Last Saturday was like that. I had been fretting all week because, for whatever reason, I was suffering from “chef-block”. I knew this day was coming….
I am a little disappointed, but not truly surprised. It was a hectic week and I did a lot of things wrong. I stayed up too late over all and there was this whole matter of heading out to St Louis for the Twitch Meetup. There was a lot of overeating occurring there. But I mean, with food like this can you really blame me.
So…I’m up from last week and this is not great…but also not unexpected and not the last word. I just have to refocus and get back on track. Which is oddly hard this week…
Oh boy oh boy team…I’m getting pretty close to a fairly significant milestone! Just take a look at THIS….
I’m just a scant two pounds to a full 20 pound loss!
Twenty pounds is a little over 1/5th of the way to my target loss… I just wrote that last sentence and then rechecked my math. If my target weight loss was to get to 260lbs, then technically I’ve ALREADY hit 20% of my goal. HOLY CRAP!! I can’t believe that just a little self-control and a few minor dietary changes can make such a difference and honestly, there’s a part of me that is perhaps rethinking my goal. Maybe it’s not brutal enough?
I am really, actually, surprisingly, looking forward to better weather and getting outside to try an accelerate this process with a little exercise (I took a short walk in last week’s 60 degree weather, and my feet and knees still ended up hurting pretty badly that evening).
Also, I’m debating the idea of rewarding myself with a fast food run when I hit 20 pounds down. What do you think? Good idea? Bad? Unnecessary? I’m interested in your thoughts on this.
Anyway, I’m feeling really great right now and I’m excited to see if I can maybe even get to 21 pounds loss for next weeks wight in.
